History/Company Profile:
JP's Bar-B-Que North is owned by Jim Gyarmathy and is based in Fort
Myers, Florida. Mr. Gyarmathy's family has been active in the hospitality
industry since 1947. Through his company Gyarmathy & Associates,
Inc., Mr. Gyarmathy currently owns 11 Kentucky Fried Chicken franchises
in Southwest Florida and has previously franchised Wendy's in Southwest
Florida and T.G.I. Friday's in Louisiana. With the purchase of the
right to franchise 10 new Famous Dave's in the Tampa Bay area, Mr.
Gyarmathy now owns rights to franchise a total of 15 Famous Dave's
in Florida. Through his company JP's Bar-B-Que, he previously purchased
the right to franchise five Famous Dave's in Southwest Florida. “We
are very happy to have Jim Gyarmathy increase his commitment to growing
the Famous Dave's brand in the Florida market,” said David Goronkin,
